Rinse the selected potatoes from the ground and peel with a vegetable peeler. Peeled potatoes cut into cubes and rinse in cold water. This will wash away excess starch, so that the potatoes will not fall apart when frying. Then drain the water and dry the potatoes a little.
For frying, take a regular onion. Peel it, rinse and cut into pieces.
Pour a little vegetable oil into a hot frying pan with high sides and put the chopped onion. Fry the onion until slightly golden. Make sure it doesn't burn. Use a wide frying pan so that the potatoes on it are as thin as possible. Thus, it will fry more evenly and will be fried, not stewed.
Then add chopped potatoes to the skillet. Mix everything well and cook over medium heat until cooked.
Do not forget to stir the potatoes periodically during the frying process. It is very convenient to do this with a wooden spatula. At the end of cooking, salt the potatoes and add some dry spices. Stir gently and remove from heat. Serve hot. Bon appetit!
